Not a good look, Cincy Po Po

by Ally

As soon as I discovered the guys of Sketch Empire, I knew we were kindred spirits.. or some other awkward terminology implying we have a lot of weird shit in common. What I love most about these studs is that they are willing to push the limits of what may be deemed socially acceptable. Their pranks are so unique and often leave the viewer wondering, “WTF just happened?

Within days of my run in with the fuzz, these guys had a similar encounter. If I didn’t know any better, I would have assumed somebody was freely using a able-bodied slur like ‘cirppled’..  Once again, the Cincinnati police show their distaste for humor:

To be clear, I am a law-abiding citizen that is a fan of the police officers that respect the law and the public. These citizens specifically asked, “What law(s) am I breaking?” and they got one response of “You aren’t breaking a law, you’re being idiots.” (No codified statute = no “law”) The other man asked to be read his Miranda rights AND THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN, but he was told he was being arrested and put in handcuffs. That’s MUCH worse than any prank! It was the police officer that then broke the law, not the citizen that was pranking. The cameraman had a right to ask “What law am I breaking?” That was ignored- every time. If there is no law being broken? Move along..these are not the droids you are looking for.. I wonder if these officers reactions would have been different if the pranks were being done by Ashton Kutcher or Tosh.O? I am very disappointed in the words and actions of these officers, on this day (if we saw the whole story.) I found it disturbing. :-(

While you are playing the village idiot around town you are distracting officers and taking their time and focus away from keeping people safe.
Get a clue – peeing humor is for elementary kids- bloody idiots!

There is no reason the officers should put any focus on someone who isn’t doing something illegal. If they do, they’re the bloody idiots. The moment they realized there were no illegal activities, it is their duty to move on and not attempt to abuse their power because of their personal opinion against what is happening.

They call it the “Streisand Effect”.

If a cop threatens to arrest you, ask what you’re being charged with. You have a right to know the charge or probable cause behind an arrest before the cuffs go on. If they don’t cite a charge or cause, ask to see a supervisor or sergeant. You’re allowed to ask for a supervisor to be present if they can’t give a valid reason.

And to Jennifer Green. People have the right to make an ass of themselves in public, no matter how juvenile it seems to you. Taking time and focus away from police duties was the fault of the cops for jumping to conclusions. And from what I’ve seen the stadium didn’t fall into the river, Madisonville didn’t go up in flames, and Hyde Park wasn’t stolen. So I don’t think the time the cops spent on this nonsense made the city any less safe.
